Have you ever heard of an app called 1 Second Everyday? Well, our Sales Manager, Eian is addicted to it! See his review below:
While the word addict is usually used to describe a negative habit, in this case I think it is a good thing. The idea is as simple as the name implies: one second of video, every day. One second to represent your day, one second to prove that day happened. At the end of the week, or the month, or the year, or whatever days you choose. 1SE will compile your one second into a video diary of your days.
I was recently introduced to this great app while on vacation. They showed me their video since the beginning of the year, I was instantly intrigued with what I saw. It was so simple, yet fun and creative, a way to never forget life’s moments again. I downloaded 1SE and started to play around, my intention was to use it to help me remember each day a bit more clearly. I like most of us am a creature of habit and days tend to blend together in our day to day, but I noticed a side effect of the app after a few weeks of using it. I was somehow becoming more creative, more adventurous, and looking at the unique events that happened in my daily life in a different way. The app was always there with its reminders and nudges to find something new. A bunch of 1 second videos of me feeding the dog isn’t really going to accurately portray my life, so now I look for unique opportunities for the video of the day and they are a lot more prevalent than you might think, you just have to look for them. To be honest I am not even sure what I will do with the video in the end, I will probably share with family and friends but that is not really the point. If I want my video to be interesting, even if I am the only one that ever sees it, I must find more interesting things to do. Maybe that is trying a new microbrew, seeking out some of my favorite destinations from my childhood, teaching my daughter a new skill, going to interesting places, the list is truly endless.
1SE is available in the Google Play Store for FREE, and in the Apple App Store for $4.99. I am an Apple user and it is $5 I would gladly pay again. Give it a try and start creating memories that will last you a lifetime. 1 second of video over the next 10 years will net you an hour-long movie, think about all the things you will do in 10 years!
