Kansas Day 2025
164 years ago today, Kansas became the 34th state of the United States. Over the years, Kansas has seen many changes and been a huge part of the nation’s history. Kansas was the eighth state to ratify the Equal Suffrage amendment, is the birthplace of famous icons like President Eisenhower and Amelia Earhart, helped pave the way for the Civil Rights movement with Brown v Board of Education, and is the birthplace of Pizza Hut (who doesn’t love pizza?).
